Desert Ironwood
Olneya tesota is native to the Sonoran desert of the US and Mexico. Desert Ironwood is one of the hardest and densest woods in the world. It ranges massively in color and can have a great deal of chatoyance which gives great depth and luster. Also one of my favorite species to work with although a respirator is a must.

Cocobolo
Cocobolo is a tropical hardwood of Central America belonging to the genus Dalbergia. Heartwood is usually orange or reddish-brown, often with darker irregular traces weaving through the wood. It's extremly dense and will sink in water. It it another one of my favorite species to work with and couples beautifully with our Black Titanium hardware.

Handroanthus impetiginosus, the pink ipê, pink lapacho or pink trumpet tree, is a tree in the family Bignoniaceae, distributed throughout North, Central and South America, from northern Mexico south to northern Argentina. The boardwalk at Coney Island was made of Ipe.
